Request deletion of your Sherpa account

To request deletion of your Sherpa account and associated data linked to your account, email our privacy team from the address linked to your account.

How to request deletion

  1. 1Email Sherpa at the address below.
  2. 2Send the message from the email address linked to your Sherpa account, or include that address in the request.
  3. 3If you are the only admin for a trail center, transfer admin access to another person before asking us to delete the account.
  4. 4Sherpa will verify the request and then delete the account and associated data linked to your account.

Processing timeline

Requests are processed within 30 days.

What we delete

  • Your Sherpa account access and authentication record
  • Your profile information and avatar
  • Your trail-center memberships
  • Your synchronized recordings and related traces

What we may keep after deletion

  • De-identified consent and audit records that must be kept for legal or compliance recordkeeping.
  • Operational or security logs that must be retained to protect the service, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

Additional retention period

Sherpa does not publish a fixed extra retention window for those records. If any records are retained, they are kept only for as long as required for legal, compliance, or operational purposes.
