Google or Apple may provide a name that Sherpa uses to prefill your editable display name. Sherpa does not use provider photos, provider location, or your email prefix to create visible Sherpa profile fields.

Our app may request access to your device's location to provide navigation services. This information is:

Used only for navigation and trail guidance
Processed locally on your device unless you choose to synchronize related data
Not reused for analytics or statistical purposes unless you separately opt in
Stored securely when synchronized as part of a core service feature

Device location used for maps, navigation, and activity recording is separate from the optional profile place of origin you may choose to save.

2.3 Usage Data

We may collect limited app usage information to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Separate optional consent may be requested before Sherpa reuses movement or usage data for analytics or statistical purposes.
